The beginning of Fall always brings excitement. I love the reprieve from the hot weather, the anticipation of the holidays, and a chance to make some changes around my house! Here are a few things bringing me joy this Fall!
- Front Porch Revamp
Fall is a great time to reimagine your front porch. This year I’m layering a thin outdoor rug with a new welcome mat. I’m adding a Fall wreath to the front door and adding crotons and mums on either side of the door. No doubt, my kids will have some pumpkins in the mix before we know it!
- My favorite Fall coffee
Hot take: I don’t love a Pumpkin Spice Latte! In the fall, you can find me sipping on a Dirty Chai Latte. You get all the yummy fall spices you are craving with a bit of caffeine from the shot of espresso…without the sugary sweet pumpkin.
I fear I am late to the game in learning about this company. This company is a partnership between Mount Pleasant, South Carolina and Togo, West Africa. They are partnering with community members in Africa to empower women to live freely and provide for their families. Not only is this an incredible mission, but the skirts they are creating are stunning, and so well made. This skirt would be the perfect piece for a fall event. You can find me wearing mine on the Studio Spartina website!
- Inside décor
A tip when decorating this time of year is to think autumn décor rather than Halloween. This way you are avoiding the plastic orange, and you can leave your decorations up longer! I love to focus on the mantle and my kitchen table. I also love to swap out textiles around my living room to go with the season. I’m currently loving these vases, this throw pillow, and this table runner.
- Pumpkin Patch
Sure, you can pick up your pumpkins while doing your grocery shopping, but where’s the fun in that? A visit to the pumpkin patch can be fun for the whole family. In Charleston, the go to pumpkin patch is Boone Hall in Mount Pleasant. Boone Hall has a pumpkin patch, a corn maze, tractor tour, petting zoo, playground, and face painting. There are other pumpkin patches around town, but if you are looking for the full experience, I’d recommend a trip out to Boone Hall!
